To celebrate the launch of its Spring-Summer 2012 collection, PUMA® has created a fun new Facebook app that helps discover the role you and your friends play in the Social team.
PUMA believes that every great night out is made possible by Social Teammates, and every Teammate plays a different role that bonds the team and makes them unique. How can the team survive without the Hungry Man leading the pack to a new place to grab a bite? Who can anyone turn to if the Cheerleader’s not around to lift spirits on a bad day? And who leads the group and ensures a fantastic night out without the Captain?
PUMA has got it all figured out, creating an innovative new Facebook app called “The PUMA Social Dream Team”. To begin, the user goes to a dashboard that has different functions. The ‘Analyze Me’ function identifies the user’s team role based on the social activities that he has engaged in and recorded on his Facebook page in the past three months. A special Polaroid photo using the user’s profile photo is generated together with their social trait. The user automatically becomes the Captain of the PUMA Social Dream Team.
The user can also create his Social Dream Team based on the category that he has chosen. “The PUMA Social Dream Team” Facebook app will analyze the Facebook friends who have interacted with the user for the past three months and automatically select four to fill the different roles to form the team.
The user will also be able to change their selected Teammate to a new Teammate by clicking on the picture of the former after the selection is completed. The user will be the Captain of the Social Dream Team. After the team is formed, the user will be awarded with a 15% discount vouchers that can be used in the PUMA stores located in Singapore island-wide.
The categories of the Social Dream Team include the Gig Night – where the team partakes in a night of rockin’ good music or artsy flair; The Night on the Town - where hanging out at the usual club leads to an impromptu pub crawl; The Big Feast - where the team indulges at the latest dinner spot with consequent snapshots of food porn; Ten Pin Action – where the team plays good ol’ bowling or any team game; Bar Games – darts and pingpong action that makes the bar a more interesting place; and last but not the least, Karaoke Night – where each teammates gets three minutes of fame.
In every category, the role of the selected Teammate is identified based on social activities he has updated on his Facebook page in the past three months. Every role is matched with the perfect PUMA Social product like the Bolt Lite Lo and the classic PUMA Suede.
For instance, a friend may be the Gig Night team’s Rock Star because he is the music expert or the Celebrity because he is in every popular event’s VIP list. On the other hand, a friend may be the Food Snapper in the Big Feast team because he takes photographs of all kinds of food and instantly uploads them on Facebook.
The findings are wrapped up in team photos and neat little infographic maps of each individual Teammate will be shared on their Facebook walls.
